Café Parvis

I'm sure that I've mentioned before that Andrea and I work different schedules during the week. When we have weekdays off together, we make sure we take advantage and spend as much time together as possible. The most recent day that we had, I had the day all planned out. After sleeping in and having a big breakfast, we went downtown for the day. Our next stop was Café Parvis, a restaurant cafe, located in the middle of the Quartier des Spectacles.

It wasn't our intention to have lunch there, but since I knew I had a lot of walking planned for the day, I decided to grab a quick bite there. It was around lunch time and the restaurant was a bit crowded so we took our seat at the bar and ordered our drinks and food there. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming and explained the menu to us.

Andrea ordered a negroni and I, a bottle of hibiscus chai kombucha brewed in Montreal, by local company, Fous de l'ile (may be my new favourite), and a small plate of thin crust, roasted tomato pizza with arugula and a side of tzaziki. It was delicious and made the perfect light snack to get us through until dinner.

A few things I love about the styling and decor of this particular spot- the presence of numerous plants suspended from the ceiling, the mid century modern seating, the distressed walls with peaking paint and exposed plaster, and the translucent amber serving ware. Such winning choices for decor.

We then ordered a couple of lattes (we love our coffee) and chatted for a while as we people watched. It made for a lovely midday break and slow start before we head off to our next adventure for the day. Coffee shop dates are some of our preferred dates, they’re just so relaxed and easy.

We definitely recommend planning a trip to Café Parvis, if you’re in the area. Also if you’re looking for a place to cowork or rent our offices they offer that too! Any guesses as to where we’re off to next?
